Maranatha Missionary Outreach
One People, One Call, Touched by God to Touch Others

Our Story

History

Joseph and Doreen DiSarno left their home in Buffalo, NY in 1979 to respond to God's call as missionaries to the Philippines.  Not knowing what the future would hold, they trusted that He would lead them every step of the way.  They landed in Cebu, Philippines with their 2 young children, 3 suitcases, and a dream of changing the nation.  Maranatha Missionary Outreach was founded as a missionary organization through which their financial support could flow.

They have been pastoring Maranatha Christian Fellowship ever since, and 37 years later countless lives have been changed and sown to the nations.  With Cebu as their home base, Maranatha Christian Fellowship now has church plants all over the Philippines (Mandaue, Talisay, Carcar, Cagayan de Oro, Dipolog, Asturias) and in key world cities: Baltimore, MD, Washington, D.C., Frankfurt, Germany, and Milan, Italy.

In 2012, MMO added a benevolence arm in the form of Club in Unity for Restoration thru Empowerment Foundation, Inc. (C.U.R.E. Foundation, Inc.).  The Foundation serves underprivileged families in Cebu through its streetchildren's feeding program, scholarship program, and annual gift giving event, Happy Birthday Jesus.  In 2015, C.U.R.E. began operations at Rancho ni Cristo - a shelter for sexually abused girls, age 12 and under.
